DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
The Town of Gorham is seeking an experienced finance leader to serve as our next Director of Finance & Administration. This full-time position serves as the Town’s Chief Financial Officer and plays a key strategic role in supporting town-wide operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead accounting, payroll, AP, AR, and cash management
- Manage budgeting, forecasting & long range financial planning
- Monitor resource planning and ensure sound fiscal management
- Coordinate audits, internal controls & compliance
- Provide financial reporting to the Town Manager, elected officials, and town employees
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate finance department staff
- Support procurement, contract management & administrative improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or public administration
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible finance experience (municipal sector finance preferred)
- One (1) year of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of GAAP/GASB & enterprise resource planning systems (BS&A software experience preferred)

Minimum Requirements:
- NH Police Officer certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- 10+ years law enforcement experience, including 3+ years supervisory/command
- Commitment to community policing and ethical leadership

Certified Police Officer
The Town of Gorham, NH is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Certified Police Officer position.
Position Summary: The Gorham Police Department is accepting applications from certified law enforcement officers. This is a sworn, full-time position responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and providing community-oriented policing services in the Town of Gorham.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Patrol assigned areas by vehicle and on foot. • Respond to calls for service. • Investigate crime and traffic accidents. • Enforce motor vehicle and criminal laws. • Prepare detailed reports and testify in court. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Police.
Minimum Qualifications: • Must be a certified police officer in the State of New Hampshire. • Must possess a valid New Hampshire driver’s license. • Excellent communication and decision-making skills. • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
