Part-Time Deputy Tax Collector

The Town of Gorham seeks a qualified candidate to serve as Deputy Tax Collector, which is an average 16-hour per week, hourly position at the rate of $19-$22 per hour commensurate with experience. Weekly schedules will be coordinated with the Tax Collector.

The successful candidate will have strong customer services skills, be well organized and pay high attention to detail. Further, experience in banking/bookkeeping/retail or a similar industry that included handling money and making bank deposits, an ability to work well under pressure, and a willingness to work collaboratively with other Town departments is a must.

The primary duties of the Deputy Tax Collector include assistance to the Tax Collector with motor vehicle registrations, maintaining Town/State records and assisting with tax collecting responsibilities.
